Mystery Amstel Drinker

Let them do the marketing for you – that is the gist of viral marketing. Come up with a great idea and then let word of mouth and other media outlets take care of it from there.

Example 1A: Amstel Light sends out an open letter regarding the lone Amstel Light beer that was ordered as part of the now infamous Bruins’ Stanley Cup celebratory bar tab. Brilliant

.

Example 1B would go to Air Canada for tossing it’s business partner, the NHL, under the bus after the ridiculous Montreal “protest” that was supposedly about head hits. For the sake of homerism and free headlines, it’s amazing that the executive team of a multi-national company actually took the time to have meetings about the state of hockey.

Good on Amstel Light for keeping it classy.
